About the Authors'

Mr. Karl Joseph Samuel is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biotechnology at Kamaraj College of Engineering and Technology. He holds a Master of Technology degree in Biotechnology and has three years of teaching experience. His research interests focus on the bioremediation of heavy metals in industrial effluents using microalgae, specifically through biosorption processes and simultaneous biofuel production. Mr. Samuel has presented at various conferences and contributed to multiple publications in the field of environmental science. His work aims to find sustainable solutions for environmental challenges, focusing on waste management and renewable energy production.

Dr. S. Manikandan is an Associate Professor and Head in the Department of Civil Engineering at Sri Muthukumaran Institute of Technology, Chikkarayapuram, Chennai. He holds B.E. in Civil Engineering (ARJ College of Engineering and Technology, Mannargudi), M.E. in Environmental Engineering (Alagappa Chettiar Govt. College of Engineering and Technology, Karaikudi), MBA (Alagappa University, Karaikudi) and completed his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering (Annamalai University, Chidambaram). He published 5 textbooks in Anna University Syllabus and 1 textbook in Annamalai University Syllabus, and he has presented more than 12 technical papers published in National and International Conferences and Journals.

Dr. I. Ameeth Basha, Ph.D is Professor and Head, Department of Chemistry, School of Arts and Science, VMRF(DU), VM – Chennai Campus. Earlier (1999 – 2018), he was Associate Professor and Head, Department of Chemistry, AVIT, VMRF-DU. He has about 26 years of teaching experience. He has published many research papers in reputed international journals and filed more than 10 patents.

Mrs. A. Asha is employed in the Physics Department of St. Joseph’s Institute of Technology-Chennai as an Assistant Professor. She has been an assistant professor for almost 11 years. She graduated with honours from Bishop Heber College in Trichy, with an M.Sc. in Physics, and from Loyola College in Chennai, an M.Phil. in Physics. She has research papers and patents published in reputable journals. Her research focusses on materials characterisation, quantum dot, and bioimaging. She is presently working for a part-time Ph.D. at Chennai’s Anna University.
