About the Authors’
Dr. K. Sakthimurugan is a Professor in Civil Engineering at C.K. College of Engineering and Technology, Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu. He holds a Ph.D. in Structural Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, and earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Structural Engineering from Annamalai University, Chidambaram. He has over 15 years of comprehensive experience spanning teaching, research, and professional consultancy. His areas of expertise include concrete structures, forensic engineering, and advanced construction materials. He has authored several research publications in reputed SCI, Scopus, and Web of Science indexed journals, along with conference papers, book chapters, patents, and a book on Building Information Modelling (BIM). In addition to his academic contributions, he possesses significant consultancy experience, having been involved in the design and assessment of more than 150 structural projects, including residential, commercial, and public infrastructure. His research interests primarily focus on structural retrofitting, durability of concrete, and sustainable construction practices.
Dr. G. Pugazhmani is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at AMET University, Chennai. He completed his Ph.D. in Civil and Structural Engineering from Annamalai University, Chidambaram, in 2024. He holds a Master of Technology in Structural Engineering from SASTRA University, Thanjavur, and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Arunai Engineering College, Tiruvannamalai. He has over 9 years of combined experience in teaching, research, and industry. His research focuses on innovative and sustainable construction materials, including geopolymer concrete, fibre-reinforced concrete, and high-performance concrete. His areas of interest include Structural Analysis, Engineering Mechanics, Strength of Materials, Fluid Mechanics and Machinery, and the Design of Reinforced Concrete Elements. He has contributed to academic research with a total of 31 publications, including journal papers, conference papers, patents, and book chapters, with a primary focus on the mechanical and durability characteristics of advanced concrete materials and sustainable construction practices.
Dr. S. Gayathri is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Vignan Institute of Information Technology, Duvvada, specializing in Structural Engineering. She holds a Ph.D. in Civil and Structural Engineering from Annamalai University, Chidambaram, and has over 11 years of combined academic and industry experience. Her research interests include concrete rehabilitation, fiber-reinforced concrete, nanomaterials, and sustainable construction technologies. She has published several research papers in Scopus and Web of Science indexed journals and holds a patent in the field of concrete technology. She has been recognized with the Best Faculty Award and Pratibha Award for Academics and has also contributed significantly to academic administration as Head of the Department and accreditation coordinator.
Mr. D. Manoj is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Kamala Institute of Technology & Science, Huzurabad, Karimnagar. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Ratnavel Subramaniam College of Engineering, Dindigul, and a Master of Technology in Structural Engineering from SASTRA University, Thanjavur. He has a total of 10 years of professional experience, including 9 years in teaching and 1 year in industry. His areas of research interest include hybrid fiber-reinforced concrete and the retrofitting of structural joints. He has contributed to academic research with a total of 14 publications, including journal papers, conference papers, and book chapters. His research work primarily focuses on the mechanical and durability characteristics of fiber-reinforced concrete.
